Creating Todo Mobile 23 Apr 2018
This is the the first post in a series where I’ll create a simple Todo application on both Android and iOS using multiple systems. I’ve wanted to try out new ways of building apps for a while, and this is both an outlet and motivation for me to keep making the same thing over and over. The series will be released over time, with each post uploaded after I finish building the application with the current framework. I’m starting with tools I’m already familiar with to create a baseline for both the application and the posts, then I’ll move into others I’m less familiar with (or haven’t used at all).
My current plan is to build this app with the following:
- Xamarin Forms (Android and iOS)
- Xamarin Native (part 1: Android)
- Xamarin Native (part 2: iOS)
- React Native (Android and iOS)
- Flutter (Android and iOS)
- Kotlin (Android)
- Swift (iOS)
Each post will contain a link to the finished source code for the application, our you can view the full repository on Github. I hope you enjoy reading these as much as I do writing them!
